A Day in the Life of Our Gir Cows

Every jar of Gowraj ghee begins with happy cows. Here's their typical day.

4:30 AM - Dawn Awakening

As stars fade, our cows stir naturally. No alarms, no force. They've slept on clean, soft bedding in open shelters.

5:00 AM - Morning Milking

Calves drink first—always. Then gentle hand-milking (no machines) while cows eat fresh fodder. Each cow produces only 3-5 liters (industrial breeds give 15-20).

7:00 AM - Breakfast Time

Fresh-cut moringa, maize fodder, and seasonal grasses. All organic, grown on our own farm. No commercial feed ever.

9:00 AM - Free Grazing

The cows wander our 72 acres freely. They choose where to go, what to eat, who to socialize with.

12:00 PM - Rest & Rumination

During hot afternoons, cows rest under shade structures, chewing cud peacefully. Classical music plays softly.

4:00 PM - Evening Milking

Second gentle milking of the day.

6:00 PM - Settling Down

Fresh water, evening fodder, and settling into their favorite spots for the night.
